MONITORING A/C HEALTH WHILE AIRBORNE...

Bombardier inc, a canadian aircraft manufacturer is promising its CSeries will carry the real-time health monitoring systems to transmit data to and from airborne aircraft, from the single-aisle type's 2013 service entry.

CSeries programme director Sebastien Mullot says the system will go "way beyond" the current generation of ACARS (Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System ) communications systems.

ACARS, he notes, is an expensive and limited tool for data transmission, so Bombardier is developing a system built around a satellite datalink. Information will be transmitted to and from system vendors, including engine maintenance partners.

hmm..so with this systems the pilots are free from their prayers as this systems can forecast the aircraft problems!!!
