SHAKE IT BUDDY!!

Boeing now proposed the technique of vibrating pilot seats!!
supporting this new technique boeing says there is a need for several other instances during flight where the crew may need to act in a less-urgent manner, to maintain safety.

adding to that,"Certain physiological factors may have an effect on the ability of the flightcrew to remain alert to perform such flight interaction tasks".

so pilots there is no more sleep in your cockpits.A vibrating alarm on the way..

LUFTHANSA GO GREEN!!

The german carrier is thriving to become the first airline to operate on bio-fuel.
it is planning to check this trail on its frankfurt-hamburg route on a international engine with a 50/50 blend of bio-fuel,but the regulatory authority (ASTM) postponed the certification.

Lufthansa has signed an agreement with Finnish oil refining company Neste Oil for the supply of jet fuel derived from vegetable oil using Neste's NExBTL biomass-to-liquid technology. The airline is spending around €6.6 million ($8.9 million) on the project, which it estimates will save around 1.5 million kg (3.3 million lb) of carbon dioxide emissions over the six-month trial.

Boeing to Build Next-Generation Refueling Tanker

The Boeing Company has received a contract from the U.S. Air Force to build the next-generation aerial refueling tanker aircraft that will replace 179 of the service’s 400 KC-135 tankers.

The contract calls for Boeing to design, develop, manufacture and deliver 18 initial combat-ready tankers by 2017.

the Air Force has chosen an American-built, multi-mission tanker that is based on the proven Boeing 767 commercial airplane and meets all requirements at the lowest risk for the warfighter.

It includes state-of-the-art systems to meet the demanding mission requirements of the future, including a digital flight deck featuring Boeing 787 Dreamliner electronic displays and a flight control design philosophy that places aircrews in command rather than allowing computer software to limit combat maneuverability. The NewGen Tanker also features an advanced KC-10 boom with an expanded refueling envelope, increased fuel offload rate and fly-by-wire control system.

F22 CAPABILITIES: this is why they are callin it as multirole one.

  • Aerial Refueling - KC-10 and KC-135
  • External Fuel Tank Carriage
  • 1,724 Mile Non-stop Ferry
  • AIM-9 and AIM-120 Missile Separation - Subsonic and Supersonic
  • In-Flight Gun Firing
  • Supercruise
  • Stealth
  • High Angle-of-Attack Post-Stall Flight with Thrust Vectoring
  • Integrated Avionics Data Fusion
  • Intraflight Data Link
  • AIM-9 and AIM-120 Guided Launches - Subsonic and Supersonic
  • Electronic Warfare
  • Countermeasures
  • Software Stability

this modification is for the 2011 Follow-On Agile Sustainment for the Raptor sustainment contract, which was awarded initially in 2008.

The modifications include training systems, customer support, integrated support planning, supply chain management, aircraft modifications and heavy maintenance, sustained engineering, support products and systems engineering.

As the world’s premier air dominance fighter and the only fully operational 5th generation fighter, the F-22 is able to defeat denied-access threats, enable legacy aircraft and joint and coalition operations in contested areas, and promote deterrence and security
